Art and Posts Curation via @artguildph and @bayanihan
Good day guys, as part of both @artguildph and @bayanihan I've been curating art by Filipinos ever since I've started in the said groups. For those of you who don't know, you can use #artguildph together with #philippines tag so that me and my colleagues in @bayanihan can easily find and upvote your post with the @bayanihan communal account. #artguildph is one of the main tags I curate because of 2 reasons:
- It is easier to find art posts there rather than going through everything in the #philippines tag.
- I can use @artguildph to promote your content through different means: resteeming, contests, upvotes, etc.
Lately, sifting through all the posts in the #philippines tag can be a bit difficult because of the number of posts. We've been growing exponentially so finding good content can be trickier.
Currently, we're reorganizing the way @bayanihan curators find and curate content on the #philippines tag. I guess my suggestion to my fellow curators: @dreamiely @erangvee @jassennessaj @themanualbot @immarojas; would be to require an additional tag just for segregation.
For example, one of the tags has to be #philippines, all the time. Then another tag required will be its genre (just examples, no effectivity yet):
- #travelph for travel posts
- #artguildph for art-related posts
- #blogph for random blog posts
- etc
This will help us locate content faster and easier, to reward people better.
So far, we've been on a 'to each his own' curating basis and we've slowed down curation because of recent issues but we're sorting everything out and making ways to improve curation and eliminate/resolve any issues arising not just in the curation group but in the scope we curate which is the #philippines tag.
