I'm in the hospital and I found art! (Part 2)

You can check out the first article here: I'm in the hospital and I found art!. Here's a continuation of my 'art-sharing' of some artworks I've found while being hospitalized in St. Luke's - a hospital in the Philippines.

Above, you can see an amazing set of paintings right behind the Concierge of the main lobby. It's composed of medical illustrations, most notably having a whole body portrait of Jose Rizal (the Philippine's National Hero, who is a Doctor by profession as well).

The following art Abstract Paintings located outside the Hall coming from the Emergency Room.

Here's a 'modern art'. I don't really know how it was made but it looks like the artist welded those into life and painted them, then stuck it onto a canvas.

Here's another one that looks cool. It's of mixed media.

I have found this article about St. Luke's artworks online too: How art in hospitals can really heal. Here are photos from the said article:

As I've mentioned on my previous post, these are just some of the artworks there and if you look at all the prints and artworks and sculptures there, you can actually consider the hospital a museum of some sort! It's amazing and commendable how the board of directors have thought of adding that many creation of art in their premise. It really helps people heal.

Maraming Salamat!

Thank you so much!
