My Top 5 and Why I Picked Them!
The following picks have been arranged in Alphabetical order only and was not ranked from 1-5. However, they are part of my top 5 picks from all Open Source -related contributions posted through @steemhunt in the past few days. If you have extra time, please do check them out!
I have provided a brief description of the products as well as relevant links and screenshots from @steemhunt and other sites. Here they are:

AsteroidOS: Open source operating system for smartwatches originally posted by @nataharuka on steemhunt.
This operating system for smartwatches is a great alternative that can compete with the Wear OS system.
Why This? Aside from Android Wear, and Samsung Gear's OS this is the only smartwatch-dedicated Operating System I heard about and it's pretty neat that it's also Open Sourced.

Blinkit -Steem action notifier: Get notified on Arduino on steem-related activities originally posted by @electronicsworld on steemhunt.
Blinkit is a notification software that can be used to give to regular & widely available devices a Steem purpose.
Why This? This is very helpful for a busy Steemian! You'll have to do some tinkering first in both hardware and software but that's part of the sweet challenge.

Clementine Music Player: Is a modern music player and library organizer originally posted by @tofferon steemhunt.
Clementine music player is a multi-platform music-handling powerhouse.
Why This? I do not know many open-source music players so I find this one very interesting.

Notepad++: A good alternative for text editor originally posted by @mindblast on steemhunt
Notepad++ is a free open source text application packed with lots of functions. It supports many programming languages which makes it the most convenient type of text editor and the primary option for most developers.
Why This? Just using the simple Notepad or Wordpad on your computer isn't enough. With Notepad++ you open yourself to a new world of posibilities, from simple jotting down of notes to extensive code writing.

VideoLAN (VLC): Fast and powerful media player originally posted by @mindblast on steemhunt
VLC is a powerful media player that has support for many type of video formats. With a huge base of supported video files and codecs, viewing and streaming of videos should never be a problem.
Why This? I have been using VLC for so long I can't remember when I started using it for watching movies and anime. It has simple but working functionality and even has mobile apps.
