The new Steemit look brought about many changes in the websites User Interface(UI). One of the most loved change is the Night Mode. It looks great in my opinion.

Here's what Steemit.com looks like with Normal/Day Mode only:

How to enter Night Mode? Simply click on your Profile Photo and the actions drop-down menu will come up and give you an option to "Toggle Night Mode".

That's actually 2 presses of a button: Open Menu + Toggle Action. There's also a short-coming to that. This feature is not for everyone. Why?

What if you don't have a profile photo up there?

Let's say you're not a Steemian and you just happened to stumble upon the site while you're browsing half-awake on your phone with all the lights out.

Let's say you are a Steemian but you don't want to login cause it's not your device you're using.

Let's say you'd like to browse in Incognito and your interface settings isn't saved and you're stuck in Day Mode.

Those samples will mean that you won't have a Profile Photo to click because you aren't logged in. So the 2 step process of Toggling Night Mode will not work for you because you're missing the first step.

What do I suggest?

Move the button elsewhere. There are other places you can put it in where it will show up everywhere in the site no matter who uses it:

• Move it to the Main Menu on the right side:

• Move it next to the Search icon:

• Give it a URL of its own:
