Photography|Blog: Lego Side Street Establishments

Welcome to Lego Street!

Together with @haneun, we went ahead to a shop called Henry's, which is a photography supplies shop. It's on the 4th level of a fairly new mall called "Uptown". There's actually another mall here (in another city though) called UP Town (Center), which confuses the hell out of me whenever I look up shops and restaurants online (thinking it was in Uptown and is very near when in fact it's in UP Town and I'd have to travel and get through all the infamous Manila traffic just to get to it). That's actually the last level of the mall but it also has corporate towers in it, so this shop was located on the 'roof deck' - in my opinion they have one of the best spots there, I'd usually think only fancy restaurants will be on this top level.

We went there because I was going to buy another camera. A Fujifilm X-T20. Will probably sell Xae to @jeseemei. I'll talk about that in another post.

The photo you see above is actually a display in Henry's. It's a Lego set complete with a couple of stores, houses, people, and furniture (inside the houses). It's a display everyone uses to test out their cameras when they buy one. This display was specifically y Fujifilm. As you can see on the lower-right corner of it - it has their brand name on one of the stores' entrance. This was the only photo I captured with the X-T20, all other photos were captured by Xae (my X-A3) because Tidus (that's what I call the X-T20 - cause "T20" and fan of the FF franchise) was just being unboxed by the store clerk and wasn't 'born' yet.

I've split up the first photo into some parts so you guys don't need to zoom in.

The only time I was able to fully set up Tidus was when we were waiting for our dinner at Mary Grace (more on that on another post).

Did you see my 'fancy' watermark though? Lol, was thinking of crowdsourcing for someone to make one for me but I just did it myself (a few submitted but they just can't get what I wanted).

When everything was all done and packed up, I joked about getting a free Lego set too. "Isn't there a free Lego set for me? Not even a house??", the clerked laughed at it. I was serious though. The camera cost a lot (it's paid by Steem though, thank you!)

I've been using Tidus for quite a but - it's a big jump from Xae, really. All the button and stuff are very different, it almost ate me from being so stupid the first time I used it. My watermark is ready and I've been getting back to learn some serious editing with Photoshop, maybe Lightroom, definitely need to learn more software other than PS.

More Shots from Xae

I have only edited the following shots using the Photos application of Windows. I was not able to apply my watermark but all the following photographs are mine and are captured by my Fujifilm X-A3. Enjoy!

This is the whole set of the Fujifilm Lego in the store at a 30-degree angle from the right side of it. It's really pretty cool, it would have been nice to have watched this built from scratch.

The details they put into it are simply amazing. A Fujifilm store with a happy customer coming out enjoying taking his first photographs using a Lego camera - most probably a Fujifilm. It actually looks like a GFX to me. I really wish I had one!

They even have this couple going into a Cinema. I bet 3 Clicks and a Snap is a really good movie (if it was real - at least to these Lego people, it is real!). He even bought flowers! Just in time for Valentine's Day.

Lastly, meet AL. He owns the barbershop in this place. He's just sweeping the hair out of his shop, my shot just makes him look sad. In another shot above, you can actually see him smiling, holding his broom - probably waiting for a good payout from Steemit too.

That's it for now. Thanks a lot for reading up until the end of this post guys, stay tuned for more! Over and out!
