Plotagraph: Animating Architectures

Good day guys, I've been trying out Plotagraph more and more and I find it really cool to use on architectures. It's just really hard to do.

What you see below are 2 buildings where I applied animations to with Plotagraph. The animation on the left side is different from the one on the right and the former is much smoother compared to the one on the right.

You can view a looping video of it on my Instagram account, it looks way better there: Instagram Post.

I've actually posted a few more animated photographs in my Instagram, as you can see on this screenshot (you have to go to my IG to view them animated):

So far, there are 3 lines in my IG where I've incorporated animated photographs using Plotaverse. I'm still fixing the latest line since I think it's not balanced.

The Plotagraph software is housed inside the Plotaverse application which is available for different devices. I made the edits on the photo above on a Windows PC and exported through my Android phone (because the free version allows me to extend the video's playtime - free version only exports in videos. The gif image above was exported from the video through other means).

The dots you're seeing running through the middle are called anchor points. They dictate where animations would stop. They're like a wall. The areas covered in red tint are masked areas, which means animation will not apply on them. I masked the sky and the building edges so that only the architectural designs of the buildings will be animated.

The arrows you're seeing here dictates where certain parts of the photo will flow/move. The orange dots are the origin points and the blue arrows are where they would flow. You can see a clear difference between the arrows on the left building and the right building.

The arrows on the left still form broken lines but are continuous and are following each other's paths. Whereas, the arrows on the right have spaces between them. The left one produces a more subtle and smooth animation where it looks like the windows are just elevated onto the next level, and so on. On the right side, the windows look like they vanish before reaching the window above its level.

I'm gonna be having more practice with Plotagraph on architectural designs. They looks really great but are challenging to make. Stay tuned for more and thanks for reading!
