What's a Plotagraph?
Plotagraph
Plotagraph is an application that let's you add moving effects to your photos. I tried making a very simple one above where I added movements to the waterfall in the background and on Zion's hair. The movements are very subtle so it's hard to notice. I'm still practicing on it.
Here is a sample artwork with a more complicated and planned flow was added (image from the plotagraph app provided as a demo piece):

Up in that image you can see the distinguishable movements of the waves as well as the clouds above.
You can do this by adding movements to your image. Starting with a point for the source of movement then an arrow pointing to the direction where the movement should go. You also have an option to add an anchorage point to dictate where the flow should stop or come from. You also apply masks over the image (shown in red tint) to tell the app what parts shouldn't be affected by the flow.
Here's a sample plotagraph without the image:

Finally, here's a GIF version of the video uploaded at the beginning of this blog post:

Thanks a lot!
I will be experimenting more with the app, it's fun but requires effort to do. You can check out my Instagrams to see more samples: https://instagram.com/deveerei & https://instagram.com/deveereiphotography.
